Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) also known as NDIS Therapy Assistants provide essential support, working closely with your Behavioral Support Practitioners (BSP) to help you implement support plan | capacity building plans and maximise your behavioural goals.
Key Services:
Education Program Implementation:
Under the delegation and guidance of the BSP, our AHAs implement educational programs for individuals and groups, ensuring effective learning and skill development.
Communication and Social Skills Development:
We practice and facilitate behaviour support helping with communication and social skills through play (for children), helping participants build capacity and confidence.
Environmental Changes:
Our AHAs assist with implementing environmental changes, such as modifying the home environment and supporting positive behavioural outcomes.
Safe Response Practices:
We practice and implement safe methods in response to unsafe behaviours, stress, and anger management, ensuring a supportive and secure environment for participants.
Skill Building:
Our AHAs assist in building essential skills, including initiating interactions, sharing interests, using gestures, and joint attention.
Imitation and Play Skills:
We practice imitation, improvisation, taking turns in play sequences, and early conversations with participants, fostering social engagement and communication.
